Brett Evans is a Partner, responsible for Recruiting and Business Development, at CMA.
Brett has sat on trading floors in schedule A & B banks and boutiques with over twenty years of Capital Markets trading, treasury, currency, options and payments experience before getting into recruiting. He has extensive experience in options trading, client relationship consulting and risk, and sales management, including P&L responsibility for these business lines. Credit and credit management and compliance have been a large part of his experience. He has traded at schedule A & B banks and built a boutique firm in the treasury space and has managed a team of traders. Business development and strategic partnerships have been a large part of his focus and he has managed and mentored sales/trading teams in this specific industry as well. His experience has been an integral part of the growth of several new initiatives within Capital Markets. Brett’s experience has allowed him to work and trade on many different platforms that support these types of transactions and he has a very good sense of the global marketplace and particularly the competition.

Diane Gabriel is the Executive Director of Wealth Management Recruiting and Senior Business Development & Talent Acquisition Specialist for Capital Markets Advisors. Diane has over 40 years of experience in Wealth Management. She has worked at Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor firms, and most recently as the Director of Financial Advisor Recruiting at Janney Montgomery Scott. At Janney, she was responsible for leading the firm’s Financial Advisor recruitment strategy, providing direct assistance and support to hiring managers and advisors throughout the recruitment process.
Diane began her career in the financial services industry in 1982 as a financial advisor and branch/complex manager. She then spent 10 years as the Managing Director of the Branch Network for the Wells Fargo Advisors independent brokerage channel. In this role, she was responsible for the overall financial advisor experience, client service, transition and training, sales supervision, risk, and operations administration. Diane also served as the Head of Wellstrade, overseeing the strategic direction and management of the direct brokerage solution, and as the Head of Wells Fargo Advisors Solutions, overseeing and leading teams of phone-based financial advisors who provided advice and guidance to the mass and emerging affluent client base. Her final role at Wells was as head of Next Generation Talent, leading the strategy and management of various new advisor and new branch manager programs.
Diane is an honors graduate of Goucher College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She earned her professional designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist from the College for Financial Planning and completed the Securities Industry Institute program at the Wharton School. Diane holds the series 3, 7, 24, 63, 65, and 9/10 exams.
Tony Porraspita is an Executive Recruiter and Senior Business Development & Talent Acquisition Specialist for Capital Markets Advisors. As part of the executive recruitment team he is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and increasing relationships with institutional clients while retaining existing business and pursuing profitable growth opportunities. As a recruiter, he has a proven record for success and excels on behalf of our clients. Specifically, Tony specialized in working with candidates in the fields of information technology (IT), middle and senior compliance, management, sales, as well administrative positions within the financial services industry. He is extremely dedicated to managing client relationships from project initiation through implementation, and has a knack to see what a client needs and make it happen. Tony is actively involved in every step of the recruitment, interview and placement process.
Prior to joining CMA, Tony was a Director and IT/business leader at UBS for 10 years, as well as AVP at PaineWebber for almost 20 years, operating across multiple products, platforms, and technologies. Tony’s background includes account management, consulting, business analysis recruitment, and project management with extensive experience in managing, marketing, as well as delivering business solutions and products. Tony has a consistent track-record for leading large scale projects in high pressure and fast-paced environments.

Stacy Brooks is a Talent Acquisition Consultant for Capital Markets Advisors. She has more than 20 years of cross-functional experience as a trusted advisor and business development and relationship management expert in the financial services industry. Before joining CMA, she was delivering subject matter expertise as a strategic partner, business coach, and mentor to financial advisors. She has extensive business acumen and industry knowledge and has played a key role in advisor education, training, and onboarding. As a credible and sought-after thought leader and resource to senior management, she has a track record of creating solutions and strategies that drive organizational success and efficiency.
Her extensive experience and successes include advisor recruitment projects and contributions to increased sales, business growth and improvements in best practices, processes, systems, and productivity for client services. As a recruiter, she specializes in identifying talented Wealth Managers, Portfolio Managers, Financial Advisors, Associate Advisors, and Financial Planners in Canada and the US. She leverages a wide network of long-term relationships that she has developed within investment, banking, insurance, and other financial services institutions.
